UMP Students Visit Kg Lipat Kajang Pahang

A niece told me that 55 students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Kuantan will be in Kg Lipat Kajang Pahang from 7 May to 12 May 2009 under some kind of U student or U social program or whatever. I have no further details.

Certainly Kg LK is honoured to be chosen and approved by UMP for its students to be camped in the village for 5 days, housed in various villagers' homes, and interacting with the villagers in various social activities relevant to their mission and beneficial to the village community, so I was told.

A Committee headed by the Yang Dihormati Penghulu Mukim Lipat Kajang is in place to manage the students' visit and to fill their stay in the village with useful programs.

May I suggest that the relevant people involved in this UMP students visiting Kg Lipat Kajang provide a short bulletin on this UMP student visit (some details such as dates and schedules/programs) and broadcast it in this blog which I am sure is of interest to all LK-ites; we certainly would like to know more about it, and perhaps find time to "balik kampong" and welcome the students, and even participate in their programs, if we can. I was initially asked to prepare to present a talk on an interesting social subject, but later was told that apparently the students will be bringing in their own speaker to speak on the topic; let's hope that the talk to be presented by the guest speaker will be beneficial to the villagers.
