“Amalan unik Lipat Kajang”

[Every year at Eid El-Fitr, the people (and their decedents) return to their kampong – village - Kg Lipat Kajang, in the State of Pahang, to celebrate after a month long fasting (in the Muslim month of Ramadhan). On the first day they all (whoever return) pray at the local mosque and early in the morning of the second day they will go to the local ancestorial ground for their traditional annual saying of prayers (together) to their loved one who have passed away. What is unique here is that they all pray together at the burial ground unlike in some places where each family pray at their own burial lots. They all turn up in hundreds, dressed in their best colourful dress (especially the women folks). And the children looking forward to receiving a few RM (Malaysian Ringgit) for attending the prayers (which had always been looked forward at by all children, even when this writer was a small boy in the kampong). Traditionally they used to give rice grains but time had changed, they now give RM.]

Begitu lah tulisan seorang anak Lipat Kajang, Sdr Hamzah Sidek, di dalam Utusan Malaysia Hari Selasa 25hb Sept. 2009, baru2 ini.

Amalan tahlil di tanah perekuburan adalah tidak unik, tetapi amalan bertahlil beramai2 pada hari kedua adalah unik dengan sendirinya. Tak usahlah saya menulis dengan panjang lebar kerana Sdr Hamzah telah menulis segala yang perlu di tulis didalam artikel beliau itu.

Hanya melihat gambar2 bersama ini cukuplah untuk kita memikirkan macam mana meriahnya kanak2 pada hari itu, dan betapa meriahnya kaum tua bertemu kembali dengan sahabat handai sekurang2 nya setahun sekali ini. Suasana sedih mengenangkan yang telah kembali ke sisi Allah SWT bertukar menjadi satu peyambung ukwah dan juga silatulrahim. Tetapi semua yang hadir tidak lupa untuk berdoa untuk roh2 yang telah pergi itu. (lihat video sebelum ini).

Dan pada Hari Raya Aidilfitri sehari sebelum itu mereka juga kemesjid Kg. Lipat Kajang untuk ber-solat Aidilfitri beramai2.
